Singapore, 2025 – YourSide was proud to play a key technical role in the global broadcast of the World Aquatics Championships, held this year in the vibrant city of Singapore. Working under commission from NEP Australia and NEP Singapore, we delivered a robust IP-based audio solution that supported both live commentary distribution and coordination lines for the event’s world feed.
As part of the project, YourSide supplied and configured 16 IP codecs, based on the reliable Prodys Quantum ST Duo 2 platform. These units formed the backbone of the commentary network, ensuring clear, synchronized audio from multiple venues and commentary booths back to the international broadcast center.
To ensure seamless operation and real-time oversight, all codecs were centrally managed using Prodys Cloud Control. This cloud-based platform allowed our engineers to remotely monitor connections, make adjustments on the fly, and provide fast support when needed — all without needing physical access to the devices.
The entire system was integrated with SIPitPRO, allowing for streamlined SIP-based communication between all parties involved, including remote commentators, technical directors, and international feeds. This setup provided the flexibility and audio quality required for a high-profile, multi-sport event spanning several days.
YourSide’s engineering team worked closely with NEP teams on-site in Singapore and remotely from Australia, ensuring a streamlined deployment and 24/7 operational support throughout the championship. The combination of reliable hardware, intelligent remote management, and close collaboration between technical partners ensured that the audio delivery was flawless and met the high standards expected of a world-class sporting event.
